Guest Post: Mommy Bloggers and the Zombie Apocalypse
Since I’m moving in 6 days and have done basically nothing, I so very nicely asked Jenn to guest post for me. It went something along the lines of:
Me: Want to guest post for me? I’m lazy.
Jenn: Sure, if you tell me a topic.
Me: Shit, thats the hardest part.
Needless to say…I didn’t give her a topic, but based on the title she is making Bil very proud. Thanks Jenn, I big puffy heart you for a variety of reasons, but indulging in my laziness is for sure high on the list.
=============================
My husband an I managed to escape for a few hours adult time last night. No hotel rooms rented by the hour were involved. Although having said that, if one actually existed in the town where we live, I’m sure we probably would have considered it.
It was the first time leaving out daughter, V, with a sitter, so we decided to go out for a nice dinner. Hubby spent the whole time being worried about whether the lady we hired to look after V was going to survive the two hours alive. I was too excited for the break to care. I’m sensitive like that.
As soon as we sat down at the restaurant, I immediately regretted not bringing some conversation cards or something with us, because, once you have kids, poop, puke, and potty training dominate your lives. And really? I am SO tired of those topics.
We chatted about some of the going-ons of our friends for a few minutes before I brought up this post.
Me: So I told Ali I’d guest post for her, but I don’t know what to write about. I’m drawing a complete blank. I’m such a newb.
Him: Write about mommy blogging and the…
Me: Dude, I want it to be interesting. And funny. And witty. Besides, the mommy blogging topic is sooooo over done these days.
Him: Well then write about what you think mommy bloggers will be writing about once the zombie apocalypse comes.
Me: What is with you and the zombies? Really? And why would mommy bloggers care about zombies.
Him: They’d care if everyone was getting eaten. Just imagine your twitter stream.

Me: That is fucked up. So… you want to split an appetizer or what?

Bwahahaha! I love our friends. Also, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad you and Bil got out. I hope the sitter worked out well so you guys can do it (hee hee) on a some-what regular basis. <3 you zombie beesh!
