Just visiting from All Mediocre!

I felt {feel} the same way as a mother. I’ve always been subversive, and I thought in becoming a mom, I’d have one nice spot to fit into – I’m a MOM! But, of course, I was completely surprised when I learned that there were “groups” within motherhood too.

I came to the same epiphany – I’m a mom, I love my daughter – the end! I’m very happy with that.

This is a great post. I DON'T FIT IN either. I like to give people my point of view but always tell them to do what is the most comfortable for themselves and their family. I am right there with you. I’ve had so many women tell me gleefully how they went so much longer than I did without an epidural. Well bully for you. So what? Does that mean you’re a better mom? Don’t think so.

Makes you wonder how any body can parent effectively if they are spending that much time judging and condemning other parents.

Oh how I feel your pain. I too don’t understand why everything must be a competition. Isn’t being a parent hard enough as it is with out that added in? I think some moms take ‘keeping up with the Jones’ to a whole new level.
The last line in your post is the best ever. So true!!

Eh. They were a pain, I wish I had just gone to cloth, but now since Jimmy is allergic to every freaking detergent there is, Im back to disposables. I wouldn’t tell anyone to use gDiapers though.

I’m right there with you. I’ve been on both sides of the fence on each of these issues.

I’m a big believer in it doesn’t matter which “team” you’re on. The only team that matters is the one that is going to support & cheer you on as you raise your children.

Did you try the gDiapers with Chase? I didn’t know you’d used them. What did you think about them?
