The Lesser of Two Evils?
It’s not so cute anymore.
I have NO IDEA how to even begin to attempt to break him of this lovely habit. I was a hard core thumb sucker as a kid and the habit followed me to almost middle school. I jealously listen to friends talk about taking their kid’s pacifiers once they reach a certain age. How the heck do I take his thumb from him?
J on the other hand is 3 months old tomorrow( time is flying!) and is on the cusp of being either a thumb sucker or a “Binky” taker. He has found his thumb on his own a few times, but is happy to have a Binky as well. The only issue is that he hasn’t figured out how to keep it in his own mouth yet. He loooooooves the Bink, but I’ll be damned if the kid doesn’t want me to hold it in his mouth the whole time.
So my question to you, Oh wonderful and wise Internet Mommys, is this:
THUMB OR PACIFIER
Which is easier to break them of?

I’ve always said I’d rather my kids take a bink (which they both do…with a passion) b/c you can take the bink away but you can’t take the thumb away. Roo will soothe himself with his fingers but still prefers the bink. Every since I started taking Bear’s away as soon as she wakes up, I will catch her occasionally sucking on her fingers. Hm. I have no suggestions as to how to break the thumb (sucking, of course) that are age appropriate for Big Man
